Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker last week was scheduled to receive an early holiday present: the final report from his Commission on the Future of Transportation. The report, expected to be made public soon, will likely be forward-looking and include many recommendations on transit and infrastructure. But perhaps the biggest question is whether the commission has also focused on transportation’s enormous climate impacts and recommended a regional "cap and invest" solution for transportation emissions. If it has, the business community should join us in applauding the commission’s wise men and women.
